Some people are naturally good at working with their hands and tools, Others learn by trial and error, often with unsatisfying results. Doing it Yourself (DIY) can be made much simpler if you know what to do when planning the task at hand. This site brings you the knowledge. We encourage others that have done some amazing work to document the whats and why's here to make it easier for those following in your footsteps.

At Lowveld Building supplies we will be adding a few tasks a month here from hanging doors, to fixing a leaking tap. All the jobs here will be based on South African conditions. The procedures outlined on official Laeveldbou articles will be the simplest, safest and correct methods of doing the tasks.

All of the materials and tools needed for the jobs will be available at Lowveld Building Supplies and in our seven stores in Mpumalanga. All of the projects will be labeled beginner, intermediate and experienced. Some tasks do need a level of skill that will rarely occur in the first time DIY'er so it is best to gain some experience by doing the simpler tasks first.
